No Shave November – 2017

It’s that time of year and the Sheboygan Police Department has issued their challenge.  Join them and put down your razors for the month of November!

Starting November 1st, SPD Officers will have the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser and awareness campaign to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County.

The need to strengthen our community’s youth is greater than ever, and by helping children develop strong and supportive relationships with positive role models, Big Brothers Big Sisters creates a direct and lasting impact on kids’ lives.  Last year, the Sheboygan Police Department raised $1,850 for BBBS and the kids of Sheboygan County.  Are you ready to accept the Police Department’s challenge for this November?!

Whether you “grow” solo or get a group of friends, family and co-workers together, participation is easy:

  • Donate $25 and grow a goatee or $50 and grow a full beard
  • Stop shaving on November 1st
  • Submit your best facial hair selfie on December 1st for judging

It’s that simple!  At the end of the month, two Littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters will judge the “Best Goatee” and “Best Beard” from the pool of hairy participants!  The winners will have their entry “donation” refunded and be included in the media coverage for the event.

Equally important to raising money is raising awareness. If someone inquiries about your appearance, please be prepared to share a bit about the amazing impact mentors matched with kids have through BBBS programs.
