FUNDRAISING
The Sheboygan Police Benevolent Association takes pride in our fundraising events and opportunities. We would love for you to get involved and help support our growing organization. Your support means The Sheboygan Police Benevolent Association can continue giving back to our community the way it has for almost 90 years.
NO SHAVE NOVEMBER
In November the men of the Sheboygan Police Department get hairy! Each year, officers of the Sheboygan Police Department will be participating in “No Shave November.” If you’re not already aware, this fundraiser is our opportunity to raise awareness and money for Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline (BBBS). In exchange for a donation to BBBS, officers are allowed to put down their razors and grow facial hair during the month of November. Since we began our involvement with this fundraiser in 2016, we have raised over $15,000 to support the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Since Sheboygan Police Officers are generally not allowed to grow facial hair, this event provides a fun opportunity to connect with members of the public when asked about their unusual hairiness. If someone inquires about their appearance, officers are encouraged to engage them in a brief discussion about Big Brothers Big Sisters and share that our agency supports the mentoring they do to prevent delinquency and build character in kids.
"WE BACK THE BADGE" LAWN SIGNS
Due to numerous requests from citizens, the Sheboygan Police Benevolent Association has acquired a supply of “We Back the Badge” lawn signs. The signs are available for $10 – any proceeds will benefit the SPBA’s Endowment Fund.
