Challenge Academy Civic Leader Visit

SPBA members Brandon Kehoe and Eric Edson recently joined a group of other area civic leaders to visit the Wisconsin Challenge Academy at Fort McCoy. The Academy is a free character-building alternative education program, helping 16-18 year olds, at risk of not graduating high school, earn their High School Equivalency Diploma though a quasi-military environment. The program focuses on eight core components:

Leadership/Followership

Responsible Citizenship

Job Skills

Service to Community

Health and Hygiene

Life-Coping Skills
